“Shiwen was wonderful to work with. She was able to connect to our family and our baby H from the very beginning- it even started with our early email exchanges! The shoot was a good mix of casual, candid photos and posed. After getting to see the final product, I would have chosen more photos that are more artistic and less traditionally angled photos. When choosing which photos to develop, we were less inclined to choose the artistic ones- maybe because we didn’t know how we felt about them. But after seeing them printed out- those were the ones that made it to the frames on the shelf. Those were the ones that captured tenderness and special moments that you just don’t see in staged, posed photographs. ”
